finn juhl nyhavn desk and tray unit

Select Title

Designed by Finn Juhl, 1945
Made in Denmark

The Nahavn Desk was designed by Finn Juhl in 1953 as an addition to the Nahavn Table. The desk was one of the tables designed for Finn Juhl’s first studio at Nyhavn 33 in Copenhagen. It features a tabletop of burnished steel, linoleum or plywood. Frames and toes match in either walnut, teak or oak.

The Drawer Cabinet with three coloured trays hangs like a floating, individual element under the light steel construction of the Nyhavn Table. This reflects Finn Juhl’s design philosophy of separating the elements to create visual lightness.
