Luca Nichetto

Luca Nichetto is an Italian industrial designer renowned for his innovative and culturally rich approach to design. Born in 1976 in Venice, he was immersed in the world of craftsmanship from an early age, with his family deeply rooted in Murano glassmaking. He studied at the Istituto Statale d’Arte and later graduated in industrial design from the Università Iuav di Venezia in 1998. In 1999, he began his professional journey by designing Murano glass pieces for Salviati and later collaborated with Foscarini as a product designer and consultant. In 2006, he founded his own studio, Nichetto Studio, in Venice, and expanded to Stockholm in 2011, blending Italian craftsmanship with Scandinavian design principles. His work spans product design, furniture, lighting, exhibition design, and branding, with collaborations with brands like Cassina, Foscarini, Moroso, and Hermès. Nichetto's designs have been recognized with numerous awards, including the EDIDA Designer of the Year in 2009, and his work has been featured in exhibitions worldwide.
