Mario Bellini



Mario Bellini is a highly influential Italian architect and designer, renowned for his innovative contributions to both industrial design and architecture. Born in Milan in 1935, he graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano and quickly gained recognition for his forward-thinking, elegant, and technically refined designs. Bellini has created everything from electronics and furniture to buildings and museum exhibitions, with a focus on user experience and sculptural form. He has collaborated with major brands such as Olivetti, Cassina, B&B Italia, and Vitra, producing iconic pieces like the Camaleonda sofa and the Olivetti Divisumma calculator. Bellini has received numerous awards, including eight Compasso d’Oro prizes, and his work is featured in the permanent collection of New York’s MoMA. His legacy bridges art, technology, and architecture with a timeless sense of Italian design.
